Celebrate Texas Independence Day By Not Voting! If You Vote In The Texas Primary Today, You Have Joined That Party For The Rest Of The Year!

So do your civic duty today and not vote in the Texas primary.

It feels odd to write that, as I usually encourage people to vote. But Texas state law specifies that if you vote in a party primary today, you have joined that political party for the rest of the year. Texas doesn't have voter registration by party, so voting in the primary is how you join.

So unless you really like the job the Republicans and the Democrats are doing, then don't vote, and assert your independence.

It is Texas Independence Day, after all.

Didn't vote in the primary. Are we fielding any Whigs at any level this year?
