Football season

I always look forward to this time of year. It starts to cool down. The Holidays are approaching. And just as important, football season begins.


In November of 1965, during the game between Northfield Mount Herman School and Deerfield Academy, Silliman Hall on the NMH campus caught fire. Even as Silliman Hall burned, the game went on.

Northfield Mount Herman School and Deerfield Academy both look a bit like the Izod Lacoste Institute for Higher Learning, but obviously they're pretty serious about their football. Deerfield Academy won the game 20-14.
